Protect Our Care Connecticut is a campaign desk, not a clinic. We gather stories from waiting rooms, translate them for Hartford, and keep pressure on officials who treat coverage as optional.
The work sits with the Universal Health Care Foundation of CT. Organizers, nurses, and neighborhood captains share one inbox so a coverage gap in Bridgeport and a hearing slip in Hartford land on the same list.
We also keep a modest London listening post in view. Coverage fights look different across the Atlantic, yet the household question is familiar: can a person rest in a room that will not make them sicker while they wait for care.
Monday mornings start with a coverage map: who lost a plan, who is stuck on a prior-auth delay, who needs a ride to a hearing. We do not invent new services. We point people to partners and we show up when a bill moves.
If you want the longer history of letters and voting-rights flyers, the home page still carries those 2020 cards. This page is for the living coalition: who we are, who funds the desk, and how a volunteer can plug in.
