Thanks to everyone who helped make March 22 a very good day for health care in Connecticut. About 100 people participated Health Care Action Day at the press conference and contacting legislators afterwards.

A videos of the press conference, including health care stories by five people, can be viewed here.

Materials from the event and links to NBC and Fox coverage are here.

Most importantly, the destructive Republican American Health Care Act never made it to a vote in the U.S. House of Representatives. Thanks to millions of people, including many people from Connecticut,  making their voices heard the bill was stopped in its tracks.

We want to thank everyone who spoke up. Thank you for showing up at the Health Care Action Day at the Capitol, at town halls and events around the state, for sharing your stories, and for your Tweets, your Facebook posts, and your calls and e-mails.

We are also grateful to the Connecticut Congressional delegation – Representatives Joe Courtney, Elizabeth Esty, Jim Himes, Rosa DeLauro and John Larson and Senators Richard Blumenthal and Chris Murphy – for their steadfast opposition to a bill that would have taken insurance coverage away from 300,000 Connecticut residents and taken billions of dollars out of the state budget.

The fight isn’t over! There is still a lot to do to Protect Our Care in Connecticut. We look forward to continuing to work together.
